Update March 19, 2020
In our practice we have used the last few days to internally discuss which policies and guidelines are necessary to keep treating patients in the most responsible way. In setting these policies we have taken into consideration both the national health guidelines and the guidelines set by the KNMT. As of this moment we still believe that it is acceptable and also necessary to keep treating (emergency) patients. As long as extra health measures are taken and followed correctly.
We will be very careful to decide whether a treatment is necessary or could be delayed. We will not treat any high risk patient or patients with signs of illness or a cold.
High Risk: hart patient, lung patient, diabetic patient, cancer patient, patient who has been in a risk area, patient who was possibly in contact with a person who has a high risk of infection.
Emergency: Trauma, thick cheek, a child with a lot of pain, a lot of pain after frequently taking prescribed painkillers.
EXTRA HEALTH MEASURES
- We will take more time for every single patient
- Our front desk is closed.
- We will only have contact by telephone or e-mail
- We will do our best to have as little people in our practice at the same time as possible
- Every one needs to wash hands, use mouth wash and hand alcohol before and after treatment
If you have an appointment on short notice, we will contact you to reschedule your appointment as soon as possible. We will decide together when it is responsible to continue the treatment for both your health and the health of your health care provider.
If you have missed a call from us, we would like to ask you to contact us for a new appointment. We probably could not reach you to reschedule.
Because of the current circumstances we will temporarily only be available by phone between 10.00 – 14.00. If you have any further questions pertaining our policy please e-mail us and we will contact you as soon as possible: email@example.com.
You will find additional information at the website of the National Institute for Public Health and the Environment (RIVM) at (https://www.rivm.nl/en/news/current-information-about-novel-coronavirus-covid-19).
We wish you and everyone close to you all the best in these difficult times. Stay healthy!
